Hello Guys

I would like to start by sincerely apologising to the marshal and the team for reaching late due to unforeseen circumstances. i was really worried i might miss the drive, so i truly appreciate @Ehab and the team for their understanding and for allowing me to join despite the delay.

Once i arrived I deflated, fixed my flag, joined the convoy and we got moving. from the start the pace was fast with high climbs and side cresting. the drive kept testing throttle control throughout.

We did some really crazy stuff. i was fully focused on the car in front of me and the one behind me the whole time. only when we stopped i realise how big the dunes were some of them huge with very soft sand.

The terrain and route were amazing. there were many convoys and lots of tracks but the lead handled it well and took us away from the crowd.

One climb stood out for me. i didn’t realise how tall the dune was until i looked out the window. even after coming down my heart was still racing.

Overall it was an amazing drive fun challenging and a great learning experience.one of the best drives so far .

Thanks a lot to the support @CARLOSS @brett @Vika and @Mghoneim and special thanks to @Ehab for organising and leading the drive.

looking forward to more drives and learning experiences ahead.

10/10 drive for me. I reached at the last 98 gas station and met with @CARLOSS and we drove to the location.

I had my reserve fuel from Liwa and it came to use today as @OmarShams was on low fuel and I was able to help him. 30L AOR is a lifesaver. Literally.

After deflating and the flags up, we set out to the unknown. The drive immediately started with super intense high adrenaline climbs and twists and turns. This 10+ convoy was literally a dream to drive with. Every single person on the same level. Do you know what that means? Fun, non stop drive. We did not stop for almost 45 mins a stretch. Just pure adrenaline without stop. @Ehab was incredible with his lines and also keeping us away from the other 652 convoys around the same area. The place was crowded and I can feel sweihan taking the weight of Badayer now being unaccessible.

We took a break when Ehab's car had a flat. My 3Ton jack was made fun of by many because of the size but ultimately the it came to use when the dragon mart ones failed. It was also the first time I took the jack out so it was fun figuring out how to use it.

The track was something. High climbs, switches, mild cresting etc. But there was no dull moment. Just 3 hours of crazy climbs.

Overall I think this drive and track is in my all time fav.

Thank you @CARLOSS @brett @Vika and @Mghoneim. A very special thanks to @Ehab for organising and leading the drive.

Like I said 10/10. No doubt was one of the finest at Almost.

Love,
Sid

What a trip, what a track by Ehab!

It had been sometime sinceI hit the dunes with the Almost4x4 crew, at least not after the post Meet & Greet drive at Nahel. Having missed the recent Liwa treat by the founder, I was really hoping a trip pops up on the app, and within the same moment a message from Ehab about an upcoming trip in Sweihan!

Fast forward to drive day, i.e. Saturday, I woke up early and left well in advance hoping to make a stop for coffee and refuel on the way. The drive to the meeting point was very chill with morning breeze, and early am dark skies transitioning into shades of orange. Very little traffic that time of the day, with the occasional 4x4 passing by. Made a stop at the Sweihan Adnoc and found Sid and Carlos. A quick wave to both, and continued my way to the meeting point. A few Almosters had already arrived, and at the meeting point was another convoy of nearly all JKs with one FJ that stood out with its good looks ;)

Following the usual preps and meeting other members, the lead Ehab along with the support crew comprising of Carlos, Brett, Viktoria and Mghoniam ran the attendance and briefing, which was very clear and concise - too many convoys, too many tracks, safety and comms of utmost importance as always!

Off we went, cruising along the first few smaller slopes, some light technical areas and then towards the bigger dunes. Man! Ehab knows how to amp things up - from easy going to spicy sprints, we got it all! Side cresting, big climbs to high up safari style cruising, this trip had it all!

In many parts, there was heavier than usual traffic of cars, despite which Ehab lead the 10+ convoy so gracefully, keeping safety as the top most priority. We did not have any major incidents, except a flat tire and maybe 1 ot 2 second tries. Great energy, brilliant leadership and support from lead and support crew, amazing weather, and an exhilarating dune bashing adventure - this saturday couldn't be more perfect! Thanks again @Ehab @CARLOSS @brett @Vika @Mghoneim

Till the next time!

Hello everyone! ORLY

I honestly cannot say anything other than how cool today’s drive was. Thank you very much @Ehab — it was incredible. An amazing track and perfect lead.

I will not go into details; I would rather read the trip reports from the 10+ drivers.

All i want to say, that convoy handled the task perfectly, despite the fact that the level was set above the cone. Everything was done very well. Excellent flow, fast speed, perfect reactions.

It felt like we drove all Sweihan from left to the right and all the way back again several times and it still was 9am.

And honestly, if it was not the cut tyre, we probably would not have stopped at all.

On the bright side, we managed to review the entire jack catalogue😅👌 Now we finally know why @siddharthsai does not lift high on the arch — extra weight matters💪💪

Next, under the guidance of @CARLOSS and with the active support of @Mghoneim and 10+ drivers, who cannot wait to be upgraded, we quickly fixed the tyre and continued the drive.

Later on, @massaleh lost his flag — I found the flag and then lost the track😂

@CARLOSS found me and the flag, and while bringing me back to the convoy, he took his revenge on me and brought me back through the highest point of Sweihan.
Just kidding 😄
I am really looking forward to his upcoming drives.

@brett , the most calm and peaceful member of our drive, did an excellent job as Sweeper, keeping the convoy perfectly organized, counting cars crossing the gatch road)))

@Mghoneim thank you so much for your support in the middle!

Thank you all for the great morning full of fun.

And see you very soon.

Hi everyone!

Complicated day this was in Sweihan, reminding me E611 at 8am from Sharjah to Dubai. Crazy number of other groups chewing up every single dune in miles. OSMILEY

My personal target was to make sure that nobody was “flying over” our dear members and from time to time, I found myself cutting other groups off like a policeman. cool

Convoy did very well, quite balanced group of drivers with no significant incident apart from a car getting stuck on the wall that required quick intervention of both Ehab and myself, finally sorted without any problem. Remaining stuff, as usual, second tries and two or three convoy disconnections with members losing the track. And one less Cooper in the family! Psmiley

@Ehab perfectly managed the drive, not easy I can tell, by correctly selecting the best possible lines and delivering the right difficulty level and dose of adrenaline.

Bad news is that we can say bye bye to New Sweihan for the rest of the season…good opportunity to revisit some old playgrounds to see how they look like. playingsmiley

Thanks to our brave interm members for showing up and supporting the convoy.

See you soon

This drive was truly different, the secret was that we had all the “wow” pacman moments packed in.

Today there were no marshals and no founder present, with all the respect we like to have them all, but maybe after today drive …mmm.. Psmiley

From the very beginning, Ehab made it clear that we weren’t going to do crazy things, enjoy the drive . But , the devil was in the details… :ka_boom:

It felt just like when your parents leave the house and you turn to your brother saying, “Shall we try this?”and the answer is always “Of course, and let’s do this, and that too” Before you know it, you’re squeezing in one more adventure, saying, “We still have time to try that” grin

The drive was amazing. @Ehab raised the bar for us. At first, I wasn’t completely comfortable since I had a guest passenger with me who was cheerful at the start but soon grew nervous, asking me not to let us roll over. That made me cautious in my moves, and at times I had to retry or even refuse certain tracks while following. But after the break, I sharpened my focus and the real fun began. Eventually, my passenger started feeling dizzy, so I eased off, skipped a few tracks, and kept things smooth to avoid :brains___!:

In short, the track was fantastic, and we kicked up the dust ..

A huge thank you to @Ehab for leading the drive. Thanks also to @Carlos for the guidance and for restoring trust, to @Vika for the support (especially for bringing back my flag) :yaeh_am_not_durnk: :XD: , and to @Mghoneim , @brett , and @Sanadshaikh for their support.

Ehab, we need to bring back that dust we kicked ..

Waiting eagerly for the next drive.

Dear Almosters
I have been reading all the drive reports for this drive and there is not much I can add.
It seems the 10+ guys got a drive to remember !
@Ehab chose great lines for the convoy to follow and @CARLOSS did and amazing job of shepherding the convoy and keeping the other convoys at a safe distance. There were so many other groups in the same area that it was like SZR on a Friday evening, tracks in every direction which created a challenge for our drivers when they lost sight of the car in front.
As sweeper it created a different set of challenges as by the time I approached a climb, arch etc the track was completely destroyed and extremely bumpy, so on some of the climbs I took a lower arch to avoid the bumps. As mentioned there were no major incidents other than one car stopped on a wall at a tricky angle – quickly and professionally resolved by @Ehab and @CARLOSS . The decision of @Ehab rear left Cooper committing suicide – the time to change the wheel was way outside of an F1 pitstop – but I think the drivers were happy for the chance to reduce their pulse rate to normal levels. One driver mentioned to me “Wow 10+ really is a different level”
Thankful that @CARLOSS was able to keep the other convoys away from us however I was constantly looking left and right as other convoys were only meters away on the other side of a dune from our track.
The drive finished on a high note with the last few km safari style with a great flow and reasonable pace
Once again thanks to @Ehab and @CARLOSS you provided an exciting safe and controlled drive for the Newbies
Thanks to @Vika and @Mghoneim for the great support
To the 10+ Newbies – kudos to you all well done ! @Ahmetbeydag @massaleh @Minhaj @OmarShams @Sanadshaikh @siddharthsai
Until the next Adventure

Hello All,

Wonderful weather for the drive as the winter is here Psmiley .

Started the drive on time at 8am with David leading the convoy and Carlos as the floating marshal .

Overall it was a very nice drive we went on some of the bigger dunes. We had fast paced drive and couple of crest switching.

The area was a bit crowded due to the season, and there were a lot of tracks, i managed to follow the track but the rest of the convoy got disconnect 2-3 times, which was not a problem as Carlos was looking over the convoy.

Looking forward for the next drive, special thanks to @Ehab for organizing the drive and @Carlos for being their as floating marshal. Also thanks to the rest of the crew for their support.

Cheers.
