... and it was a BLITZ pace from Tawi to Badayer
The Almosters met at the Tawi Nazwa shops and after enjoying the crisp morning air we departed promptly at 6:30am
The convoy consisted of :-
Caprihorse ( lead)
Myself
Bu Shahid
Dastoori
Sandskull
Yoghybear (support)
Ginger
Bomolin
AminRahman
Sanbloody
Bu Salem (sweep)
Arminjune
Zarir
As most of the convoy members had 10+ drives with the club , Caprihorse decided to test our skills ... it was Crest cutting all the way from Tawi Nazwa to Pink Rocks ... Caprihorse was very meticulous and made sure no crest was spared and every ridge was cut . All members drove very well and we maintained a BLITZ pace all the way to Pink Rocks . From there to behind Big Red , the large dunes made it possible for an even faster pace and it was all safari style driving with numerous crest crossing opportunities all the way to behind BIG RED where the tall , technical dunes , soft sands and quicksand pockets hindered our progress . The marshals opted for an easier path and we emerged at Big Red at 10am ... with all drivers boasting large smiles ..
I'm sure for most of us in the convoy; the tension and panic behaviour has disappeared a few drives ago and I for one emerged at Big Red , having thoroughly enjoyed this technical drive with my Thrill-o-Meter in the red.
Maximum FUN in a safe style ... this is what ALMOST4X4 is all about. ... Thanks Marshals !!!

First off all, a big thanks to all of you for the warm welcome received.
You’re a great bunch of people and I am glad I have chosen ALMOST4x4.

Hi Guys, the track looks demanding was it newbie level drive? there is a small car casualty also :sad: can I suggest some thing, since I was not in the drive but would like to be informed if for any specific trip there's need to have a certain level of car or any stock car is good for that drive, it would be helpful to decide in which drive to participate since I don't have the luxury of a weekend off road car. Hope I don't sound

Track was for a certain level of Newbies, not for completely fresh. Before the trip Marshals always decide what level the trip will have, based on the experience and quality of the drivers in the convoy. For our all drives, no car modifications are required, but we love modified drivers in a safe way.
The other broken car there is not from our Club. Wrangler got broken rear wheel during their individual night drive, and as many our friends would say "It's a Jeep thing...". The sticker does not say anything, as you can it everywhere off-road or on road. We spot it also on water tanker, truck or salon cars as it is one of the most demanding stickers today.

WOW...you made my weekend Capri
It was a great drive where our marshals selected nice track and very interesting technique to go through, we learned new skills and improved our driving skills.
the weather was nice at the beginning as we started to move before 7 am and became more hot by the end of the drive when we reach to Al Badayer around 10 am, I enjoyed every single minute of the trip which went without any problem and with some stuck.

What an amazing drive it was, and many thanks to all. This level and style of driving certainly tested my skills, and stretched what I thought I could do. With Kris recording almost everything on his camera, yes I'll admit I had to be towed off 3 times (which is clearly too many) - but I learned a lot. One simple thing I must remember is to turn 4-low back to 4-high after being towed!
