In Trip Description

Dear Members

As a part of being healthy during the holy month of Ramadan, we would like to invite you to cycle with us this coming Friday at Al Khawaneej Walking and Cycling Park.
We will meet at 21:00, start the event at 21:30 and should be done by 23:00. Also, we give you the flexibility to finish at any desired time.

For those that want to join but do not have a bike, the park offers rental bikes for AED 25 / hour.
If you reach the park after the event’s start, please call momo 0562555253 so that we can meet up.

Please note that: 
Our first rule is “No Helmet, No Ride’’

  • This is a social activity where we meet once a week, ride in group, chitchat and have fun.
  • Cycling in group require discipline and focus to ensure your safety and others safety. We are not racing or doing sprint.
  • We are riding mostly mountain/hybrid bikes. Although we are starting over city tracks, in the future we may be going over off-road tracks.
  • If not mentioned, the ride distance will always be targeted to be approximately 20 km. We will always ride at the average speed of all riders and do two to three very short breaks.


The Required Equipment for this trip: 
 

  • A bike in good condition.
  • Front and back lights with charged batteries (respectively white and red colors, to indicate your driving direction)
  • Wheels side reflectors (white or orange color).
  • A helmet is mandatory.
  • A small bike bag or back bag to carry your personal belonging such as ID card, phone, keys, money…
  • A First Aid Kit to be kept in your car.


Recommended Equipment for this trip: 
 

  • Bottle of water or back bag with water reservoir to keep self-hydrated.

Registration is limited to 8 riders.
