Hi Almosters

Squid Game is a series I simply cannot miss. Despite having a family commitment, I worked hard throughout the week to reschedule it, and only few hours before the trip I managed to confirm joining Squid Game III —absolutely no regrets.

Umm Zamoul never disappoints. Although my last few visits had been impacted by massive number of tracks in the area, this time @Mabubaker chose a route with barely any visible tracks, and it was truly amazing.

The Intermediates performed exceptionally well. Everyone drove safely and responsibly, with no unnecessary risks taken. As expected, we had the usual safe second tries, a single recovery, and the customary Cooper cuts.

In total, we covered over 110 km, missed almost no bowls along the way, and wrapped up the drive just before sunset, rewarded with a stunning sky view.

UAZ is my top favourite area in the UAE and I try my best not to miss it. My plan was to finish some family commitments on friday and join the camp around midnight but I felt tired and I thought the right decision is to get some sleep and start my drive early to UAZ.

Saturday morning I started driving to UAZ at 4 am arriving to camp around 7:30 rested for an hour or so before we started the drive. @Mabubakr in the lead , myself in my favourite position (2nd lead) , @Aljamhi sweeping, @Ehab & @alshamsi_m floating.

The area never fails to amaze me , beatiful climbs and bowls every couple of meters that gives us to opportunity to play , learn our cars, learn physics, and for me to release all of the week's stress.(all while listening to best background music of RATATATATATATA on repeat)

1 self recovery , and a couple of tires cut but apart from that all were playing safe. only one thing that I thought the convoy was missing was focus. I know that some climbs are challenging but I heard second tries on the radio at areas that I think was not needed. At this level of a drive you need to bring your 100% focus and applicate all of your basics (space between you and the car in front, no fighting gravity ...etc)

I’ll start from the beginning. The camp the night before was absolutely spot on — great energy, solid company, and exactly what was needed to set the tone for a serious drive ahead.

We rolled in together with Mustafa, Sara, and Aljamhi, driving as a tight group all the way to the camp point. Upon arrival at Umm Al Zamoul, Bu Salem and Virginia were already in position, it was cold night but full of joyable.

Next morning at 9.00am, the convoy moved, Umm Al Zamoul showed its true character — massive dunes, deep bowls, and wide-open faces that demand respect and commitment. Abu Baker laid out a fantastic track, flowing perfectly through the terrain and connecting bowl after bowl, keeping the drive pure and engaging.

Some sections featured very soft sand combined with sharp crests, requiring disciplined line selection and controlled momentum. The convoy handled it well, with clean driving throughout. We had one recovery along the way, safely and efficiently executed, keeping the convoy moving without disruption.

During the drive, we dealt with : one tire pop-out, two tire cuts, and a tire change for Virginia’s Patrol. All situations were managed professionally and without delay — exactly how it should be.

Overall, it was a strong, confident drive with great teamwork, solid convoy discipline, and a proper Umm Al Zamoul experience. Drives like this are what make the desert special.

Hello Everyone

Before starting anything, I would like to sincerely thank @Mabubaker as I had asked him several times to organize this trip because the video from the previous edition was my favorite, and I was really hoping to experience it myself :) .

I started my way to the camp with @Warrior12 and @AhmadHasan , on the way we met @alshamsi_m and @virginiasz . We were still waiting for @Aljamhi , while Al Shamsi continued ahead to the camp.

After meeting Al Jamhi, we drove together toward the camp, and the way was quite easy.
However, when we reached the original camping point, we found no one there. We then realized that Al Shamsi had already reached another camp location that was better positioned and protected from the wind.

The evening was wonderful around the firewood. Everyone was talking / laughing while enjoying @AhmadHasan famous tea, and @virginiasz prepared a delicious meal and shared it with all of us. I went to sleep around 1:30 a.m.

The next day, I woke up at about 6:30 a.m., and @Ehab had already lit the fire. Everyone started gathering again to prepare his breakfast and continued our friendly conversations. After that, we got ready to begin the trip,
@Mabubaker gave us a full briefing and safety instructions.

Without any doubt, Umm Al Zumul is the best place I have ever visited in this hobby. With the route that @Mabubaker led us through, the journey was truly unforgettable, full of challenges and exciting skills.

Unfortunately, I cannot fully describe this experience, but all I can say is: if you have not visited this place yet, you should prepare yourself, build the required skills, and never miss this opportunity.

Finally, I would like to thank @Mabubaker for the organization and excellent track , @alshamsi_m and @Ehab for their support and guidance whenever needed, and all my friends who shared this beautiful trip with me especially @Mghoneim as he forgot me in his trip report ;) .

It was my first Squid Game series drive, and we did alot of switching, high dunes climbing, sharp crests finished with a very nice sunset.

all intermediates did well always making sure not taking unwanted risks. Right before sunset I managed to stay at a high dune crest to capture the beauty of the area.
