Hello Guys

Congratulations to all the challengers—@Ahmedalabassi , @Aljamhi , @Haidy79 , @King , @Moustafa and @virginiasz You all did an amazing job.

I have never cooked BBQ before, and this was my first real attempt. That’s when I realised I don’t have the right equipment, so I spent a few days getting everything ready. Big thanks to Shamsi for helping me pick the right products at the best prices .

Around 5 PM, I packed everything into my car and drove to the entry point. The route was completely new to me, and for a moment I thought I’d taken the wrong way. It was about a 90-minute drive. Once I arrived, I met Virginia and Shamsi, and I headed to the camping point.

I couldn’t believe my eyes—around 20 cars, banners everywhere—it felt like a full-on BBQ festival. I greeted everyone and was thrilled to meet @zico . The challengers were already getting ready, and the energy was great.

I unloaded my BBQ gear, got the fire going, and started cooking. My first batch went well, and I offered some of the food I cooked to a few members—hope they liked it! If it wasn’t great, sorry, it was my first time. Seeing the challengers in action quickly showed me they were on a whole different level and seriously impressive.

The judges were focused and thorough, tasting everything like true MasterChefs. In the end, Heidy won the title Meat & Great 9, King was the runner-up, and all the challengers received gifts they truly deserved. I even got an amazing gift for voting for Heidy.

There was also a surprise birthday celebration for @alshamsi_m and @Warrior12 , who share the same birthday on the 11th. The cakes looked amazing, and the whole event was full of energy, fun, and positive vibes.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I missed the camping part of the event and @siddharthsai spicy chicken, which he was supposed to cook, which was a bit sad ,but the BBQ and the people made it truly amazing. I hope next year I’ll be ready to participate as a challenger for Meat & Great 10.

A big thank you to the Almost 4x4 management team for organising such an amazing event. Everything was smooth, fun, and memorable.

Meat & Great 9th edition
WOW .… what an event !!!
When the event was announced in the group, I feel like it would be the hardest competition among the sand dunes between all the off-roading and meat lovers.
As a grill master I didn’t hesitate to join the challenge to enjoy the heat of grill and heat of the challenge itself.
Till the event date the contenders were enrolled one by one without revealing any plans about their BBQ. Then I decided to spice it up and declared that I shall cook my famous Legendary KOFTAH.
One day before the competition, it was announced the sponsorship by Dobinson and the generous prizes raised the level of competition.
At event spot the arrangements were serious to fix location and stage the scene thanks to @AhmadHasan @brett @Mostafa
It was great pleasure seeing all those club members and Founders gathering at this beautiful venue and place having fun and sharing meat and great.
Once competition started at 7:30 🕢 pm . … all participants started their fire and demonstrated special skills and recipes for seasoning … attendance were cheerful and started tasting grilled meat as guest judges.
Then after 1 hour the judges gathered to evaluate our dishes and score given based on 3 aspect (Formation - Taste - presentation)
Our Founders @ALKHATIB @alshamsi_m @abotarek took the lead to announce the winner and @alshamsi_m thanked the sponsor and raise the excitement by giving the prizes decently:
6- @virginiasz
5- @Ahmedalabassi
4- @aljamhi7
3-@Mostafa
2-@King
1-@Haidy79

All participants are winners and the competition were very close, thanks to our judges and support team whom made the media coverage @nidal78 @Sanadshaikh
Special thanks to my supporters @massaleh @Warrior12

It is all about taste … it will last with good memories

Dear Almosters
Meat & Greet 9 was a huge success for everyone. I arrived around 730pm and made my way from the entry gate following @alshamsi_m .
The weather was cool and calm, the location was fantastic with a large open area, soft sand and no bushes.
Once I arrived the challengers were already busy setting up and starting their “Mise en Plus” (French Culinary term meaning to prepare).
The standard and variety of food produced is increasing every year, this made the job of the judges very challenging to say the least. So congratulations to all the challengers they were all winners in the end.
We were extremely fortunate to secure sponsorship and gifts from Dobinson Suspension for the event – we look forward to a growing relationship with them as a sponsor for future club activities.
After the presentations and celebrations many visitors started packing up and heading home. A few die-hards were left and started establishing their camp site setting up tents etc. I moved off from the main area to setup my own camp and settle in for the night – the rooftop tent really is a game changer. The area was nice and quiet and the weather got cooler.
I awoke around 6am proceeded to close up my tent and head back to the main campsite for coffee and a chat before departing as a group to the drive meeting point some 50km away
Again Congratulations to all the Challengers, Members, Founders and judges for making this event such a resounding success.
