it is the 2nd drive in a row in which I have to inflate alone :)

After last week's "accident" I rebuilt the shocks and was looking forward to try and see the difference. There was another intermediate drive in the area about 2 months ago so my memory was relatively fresh.

Unfortunately, the suspension felt soft and the ride was squishy. @Rashidjass confirmed that the gas pressure was wrong, and what used to be relatively easy on this occasion had to be pushed.

During the first 'forced' break I noticed that my rear tire was bulging and had to be replaced. Thanks to all who supported.

Not long after, in a bowl I had a pop-out. Since I was the last car, for some time I had to work on it myself with @Rashidjass who descended from the nearest dune on foot. This pop-out could not easily fixed as the air was leaking from the bead. Hard to say if pop-out happened first and further damaged the tire, or tire lost air before the pop-out.

Luckily somebody had a tire repair kit and Rashid managed to put a patch. Since I ran out of tires and unlike FJs I could not borrow, the safest was to head towards the exit. I drove along the fence until the road praying the air would not leak. I did not stay long enough to reach @optimus crest nor witness the recovery of the car which was left behind.

On the way back to Abu Dhabi I stopped twice to add air, but eventually reached home safe.

Another remardkable day at old sweihan, with lots of events.

The briefing was short and to the point, all of us have driven this track at least once earlier and are familiar with the area. The only new thing I sadly noticed is that Old Sweihan is not old sweihan any more. its now full of tracks, just like sweihan and Badayer.

Although we had some situations to take care off at the begining of the drive, I knew @optimus wont leave without a good streak of crests to be broken. I tried to keep my focus so I can survive till that point of time arrives and happily I made it.

I can say that this was the actual drive and it fulfilled my weekly dose.

I wonder what is the secret between our leading marshal @optimus and old sweihan
In this area Optimus always shows his dark side
The drive started fast without any warming up with last man standing role which added the spices to the drive
For me all was going well in the first 30 minutes till I lost my skid plate while climbing a dune ( it seems like it wasn’t tight enough after last garage visit )
So I have to drop my car and continue as a passenger with @Aljamhi and even though I enjoyed every minute in the drive
As mentioned by my friends the last 30 minutes before sunset was the best when Optimus unleashed his dark side and drove in catch me if you can mode and the challengers started to fall one by one and we found ourselves finally in second lead position but guess what its only last for a minute at that point Optimus decided to come back to his normal after he spread the convoy all over old sweihan
At the end I want to thank Optimus for organizing and leading this drive, @Rashidjass and @Scorpio for collecting the victims
Last but not least to my brave fellow intermediate, and special thank to Aljamhi for allowing me to be his passenger
