Hi,

hope everyone is well.

I am a new club member. I have little off road driving experience. I would like to join the trip, however, I dont own an off road car at the moment, will it be fine to join without an off road car?
noting I used to own an avalanche 2009 ^^.

Thanks ^^

Hi saramj and welcome to the family.
As we will be driving in the desert, a proper 4x4 is mandatory. Therefore, regretfully you shouldn’t join the drive. We will be happy to welcome you as a driver once you have a suitable vehicle in the oncoming club members drives.
However, as you are a member of the club, you are most welcome to join the non-driving events and gatherings with us.

Thanks

Hey Folks!

Can't wait to meet the crew this weekend!

Just had a quick question about recovery points - does anyone know a shop in Dubai that could install some front points on my super safari before the drive on Friday?

Thanks so much!

Welcome Gregohan!

There are several good ones:
- Marshals
- Titan
- Torc
- Radical
- Bestline
- SSS Garage

and many others. Just make sure that they are doing something "rated", not something just for the look.

Hey Joelvd,

Welcome to the club, as our grading system goes all new members are required to drive in atleast one CLUB MEMBER drive which is this friday noon and after that drive if you have all the required safety equipment and tools. One of our marshal does a quick inspection of your tools and upgrades you to a NEWBIE (1 star) after that you can join the newbie drives which are always organised on fridays (morning or noon) .

I will strongly suggest you register for this friday's club member drive since this is where all new members are required to start from and all club member drives are organised about 5 to 6 weeks apart.

You can read all about our grading system here : https://almost4x4.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4279

for information on the safety/recovery equipment requirements, please click here : https://almost4x4.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3901

Hope this helps and see you on the sand.
