Googloid you can get these on the same prices from carrefoure. and there is nothing like off road maps as per my understanding and the knowledge i got from my friends.
Just buy from where you can get good customer service, I mean any where.

Sorry guys, pls don't even think to buy from Carrefour, mostly on all equipment sold there, all serial numbers and registrations are stolen. You will face later problem, when trying to get updates. Buy it just from the reliable dealer.

Dear Friends, Regarding those offers it is still available for the members, the only change is the Nuvi 205w, there is clearance from the Main Dealer Side for a limmited quantity the new price is 399 Dhs. unfortunately it is out of stock in my company.

Dear Shafiq,
I don't think that the price is the only measure for the purchase, you need to look at the real value of what you are buying, when we speak about Garmin GPS, there is some points to consider:
1- what is the map date that is provided with the device most of carrefour devices comes with 2010 maps although after that there is 3 updates 2011.10 , 2011.20 & 2011.30
2- what is the warranty period; carrefour gives you 1 year warranty only, while we provide 2 years.
3- some new models are sold with the factory loaded software, which suffers from software buggs, while it should be updated to the latest firmware to avoide serious problems such as over heating, automatic restart, poor satellite recieption, etc... a good example is the Nuvi 3790, you will get with software version 3.6 with a lot of software buggs. while we sell it with software version 4.0
4-Carrefour will sell you refurbished units as new units without any feel of guilt, but we don't. please check thier latest offer for Nuvi 205W and have a look at the product's box it is white box instead of the regular Orange and blue box!!

I am really fed-up with my MIO MOOV, do you have Garmin with google maps to show to show me the terrain ahead in desert?
and other thing let me experience with you personally as customer and to see the after sale services you are offering,,,,, I mean the exchange of defective machine without any extra cost.

I personally just ordered a Nuvi 3790 with middle east road maps and also Masarat custom UAE/OMAN off-road SD card from Jihad, so waiting to try those out ASAP as my current Garmin Nuvi is outdated.

for the replacement of defected units it is absolutely free of charge, and even more, if your unit is damaged out of warranty period you can replace it with 50% of the price.

Do you know what time they will be coming out this way? I have been up here at the factory for the last 36hrs so i might go home for a bit and take a nap and be back later.
