Does anybody have a picture of good wrench tools. I saw some yesterday, but hesitated as I was not sure it would be the right one.

Some people might like to stay in the LIWA rest house for the second night in Liwa so these are the details:
1. You can call the hotel at anytime on this number : 02-8822075
2. You can call Mr. Darwen from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on this number : 052-8072068
3. It is recomended to call as soon as you read this thread to book a room which is starting from 232 dhs. and give your full information. ( make a note that you might check it around 6:00 PM)
4. You should call them one day before to confrim that you are coming.
5. GPS [hdddºmm.mmm’]: N 23º 06.839 E 053º 45.655

Personally, I'm going to camp for two nights out in the open but I though of sharing the information with you

Best Regards
Please start doing the FULL check up for your cars from now to be ready for LIWA.

1. It is 300 km away from civlization
2. The rescuse for car, you need to fight an ocean of dunes where some of them are higher than 200 MT.
3. In some places there is no TURN BACK, you can only go forward.
4. TOOLS are very important and marshals get really serious about it.
5. Spark blugges remover is important too ... so please don't forget it.

I promise you that the drive in liwa is:

1. Rewarding
2. Breath taking
3. Worth the TIME&MONEY you are going to spend
4. Don't forget to look at the SKY at night it is AMAZING
Hi guys

A spark plug key, I would assume is a socket spanner/wrench to remove your spark plugs.....
I would imagine that spare sparks plugs would be a useful friend to the key..... I got 6 plugs today!!!!!
These kind of wrenches are available at Ace, Yellow Hat, Speedex, Dragon Mart. The tricky part is the size / shape required.
Some cars need a angled / ball joint type of wrench. You can also get spark plug socket wrench bits for a normal ratchet socket set.

The other thing is a way of charging your radio, for day 2.
A 12 to 220v inverter and then use your normal charger, or a 12v charger for the radio.

below is the link for how to replace your spark plugs
When you are selecting wrench tools, be sure it does fit your car's engine, the length and size. Look into owner's manual of your car and see what size your spark plugs are, e.g. 16 as the most spark plugs are metric sizes.
Use only wrench made from chrome vanadium, e.g. on Sarookh's picture top and bottom right wrenches are jokes, valued at 10 Dhs and will never work. Chrome vanadium is about 20 Dhs...

Hi guys

Just done my spark plug wrench shopping.
Speedex, behind Oasis centre on Sk Zayed Rd had some good stuff.
Golden Tool, near BMW on Sk Zayed Rd had a very good selection.

Between the 2, I am set.....

If it is written there Chrome Vanadium or Cr-Va. it's OK. If it's written there 'Made in Germania', just forget.
