Thanks abu Jimmy, I got a thermostat and Gasket (seperate) from Al Mazaya, for 50.Abu Jimmy;26021 wrote:New thermo ( comes with gasket ) is 35 DH here in UAE , I think you better buy and fix there .
Should I simply remove the thermostat or would it have ill effects?
Incidentally, I saw strawb too :)

Removing the Thermos is not recommended , although lots of people will disagree with me , claiming that they have done it , and practically the heat temperature Gage indicated lower values . I still believe in physics science . in certain old model cars with huge radiators and simple tech engines ( single line rotation cooling systems ) removing the thermos may work , but definitely not with our Jeeps . as the thermos will control the loop of the coolant , giving it more time to cool in the radiator.MaddieTJ;26161 wrote:Thanks abu Jimmy, I got a thermostat and Gasket (seperate) from Al Mazaya, for 50.

With the thermos on , you may have little bit higher values on the gage , but the temp will be steady and constant , which is much better for the engine .
What goes around , comes around .
