When a newbie went to desert without a Marshall/Leader.

Couple times missed some trips with Almosters, feel like missing the smell of the desert and decided to go to unknown desert in Gayathi, UAE Western Region with some friends and found an interesting slope, tried to climb the wall with no clue, floor and floor, and fly, and nose dive, and broke the whole bumper, and crushed condenser, and crushed radiator, and end of story. Lesson, never tried something new without an experience leader beside you (me:smile:)

To impress friends in front of running camera is a great feeling, but it may be fatal. You were more then just lucky and there was not one Guardian Angel around you, but the whole army. Go to church, light as many candles as you can and pray thanking to God.

Your described damages might not be complete as the chassis might be also bent, from this huge jump.

I'm happy, that you left the place unhurt.

Thanks a lot DL, but Tom Cruise doesn't allow me to be in MI 5:050:

You are right Capri, there are also some problem, the doors and I believe some other things. Now the vehicle in is Toyota Musaffah. On Sunday or Monday I will have a complete info on the damages.

Actually, I have a little problem on my neck, I think it because of the impact.

Lucky lucky lucky.
Jump like this can not only damge the car, big chance driver can fracture a rip or press a disc.

Whats even more shocking to me than the actual jump, is the fact that after you jumped, the other guys lit up a cigarette and didn't try to get closer to you!

No disrespect to them, but at Almost4x4, you can COUNT on your friends!

Again, glad you're OK.

See you soon
