Did you know, that Garmin device and Blackberry device can use the same A/C charger and USB data cable? At least it works with mine GPSMap276C, Montana 650 and Blackberry Bold 9000.

Try this one, I used it in my FJ for my 276c and now for the Montana, hard like a rock, no drilling is required, all cabling is hidden, very suitable place, visible and doesn't come in the way of anything, you can remove it without leaving any gluing or drilling marks.
You just need to attach it to the 2 screws holding the central mirror, but remember, the metal plate needs to be bent little bit to be like the bend in the roof.

I found the following problem with my device.

I have a Waypoint XYZ in my device (4.6) and same point in BaseCamp (4.0.5). When I change coordinates in BaseCamp and transfer XYZ to device (overwrite), everything is showing fine, clicking on device in BaseCamp, the new coordinates are there.

However after disconnecting the device from PC, the point XYZ is showing old coordinates, they are not overwritten.

With the tracks and routes is the similar behaviour. When I'm overwriting in the device, track our routes with the same name with new data, they are just not displayed in device, the track or route does not exist.

The way around for me is, before doing to send the data to device, to delete certain points, tracks and routes from device and only after that to transfer the new data to device.
And this is very annoying.

I wrote a report to Garmin, let's see what is their reply.

Capri, I have a garmin Nuvi 2640 and have been using it on road and offroad with trip log. However, I want to buy a proper off road device in the near future, what do you recommend. The montana 600 is available for 1800 at Amit without road map for UAE.

How about using Ipad, i have seen several members in another club using IPAD with GPS Motion. Does it work?
