Well caprihorse. That Range Rover is 17 years old and has 250k on the clock. It actually drove straight off that dune without a bother. It has better articulation and traction control than most modern 4x4's. But the old 4.6 V8 has lost most of its power now so climbing anything big is out of the question. Land Rover of old knew how to make a good 4x4, the Defender in particular. But now the Defender has ended production, and like all modern Range Rovers, Y62 Nissan Patrols etc off road ability has given way to comfort and high speed highway cruising. It's a shame really!
I did manage to get the Range Rover crested and stuck the next morning! But that's another story and I won't be posting that photo!!!

Dave: I know this car and I was driving along with my Aussie friend in Liwa and I was always impressed, but on the other hand this car is very special and requires skilled driver (definitely I'm not talking about you).Dave wrote:Well caprihorse. 250K is nothing for that car, to restore power maybe piston rings to change would help, but this is just a thought and shot from black.
