Hi Almosters,

After an amazing event and a memorable camp night, I was honoured to join the all-newbie drive as part of the rescue team for the first time thanks to @alshamsi_m for the opportunity!

Once we reached the meeting point, @Mabubaker split the attendees into two convoys: Newbie +10 and Newbie -10.

I joined the Newbie -10 convoy led by @Ehab, with @Vika as the sweeper & @piotr in the middle of the convoy and myself as the second lead.

@Mabubaker, @David, and @Petr floated between the convoy, offering support and guidance.

As soon as we started moving, the fun kicked in! We tackled straight crests, had a few second tries, and enjoyed the rhythm of the desert.

Lessons learned:
- 📻 Radio communication is key clear, timely updates make all the difference.
- 🚗 Keep proper distance safety and flow depend on spacing.
- 🧭 Focus on the lead marshal’s track trust the line and stay sharp.

Looking forward to more adventures. See you on the sand!

Dear Almosters,

After an amazing event and camp night, @brett informed us that we leave camp at 7:30 am, We arrived at the meeting point around 8:20 am we take short cut known by our founder @alshamsi_m after deflate tires , @Mabubaker split drivers in 2 convoys, 10+ will be leading by @CARLOSS with the Support of @alshamsi_m & @brett while 10-will be lead by @Ehab with the Support of @Mabubaker & @David , The drive was absolutely thrilling. Long climbs, straight crests, rapid turns immediately after cresting, narrow turns with tricky angles, and huge arches, it had everything.
Then We had a short break where Shamsi shared some crucial tips:
1-How to park on dunes properly.
2-How to avoid putting load on walls.
After this I noticed @massaleh & @brett not with us I reported to @alshamsi then he communicates with them through the radio and they came back and full convoy was together and we stop to take a break, thank to @alshamsi for cookies, coffee, karak tea, then after this we drove Safari style for another 1 hour one of dune l lost car momentum and i went down in order to go back to same track I stuck, then @alshamsi he came to me and he guide me to go out from stuck.
Big thanks to @alshamsi @brett @Sanadshaikh @CARLOSS
Looking forward for more drives

A great drive for our 10- newbies, led by @Ehab with support from floating @David, @Mabubaker and @Petr, @vika as sweeper and myself in the middle.
We had a mix of crests, climbs, arches, some safari style through the valleys, and a few technical pieces in the middle to spice things up :)
We faced small technical issues at the start (resolved quickly), followed by a few second tries on the crests and climbs here and there - normal learning process.

Key learnings are maintaining proper speed while climbing / straight cresting (it is always better to get stuck 10x than to fly once); maintaining radio comms for 'clears' and '2nd tries' (key skill to be able to do that while being focused on driving the car, in any position); and maintaining proper distance (too close and one won't get the right momentum, too far and one may lose the convoy).

We also had a nice chit-chat about technical settings in the cars from the "digital era" while enjoying coffee and karak left behind by @alshamsi_m.

Overall we drove 19km, over 2h (1h30 moving).

See you in the sand!

Piotr (+Karol & Olivia who both enjoyed the drive very much!)
