Another early but beautiful morning in Sweihan.

Faithful intermediates and advanced got a special treat with Scorpio and Rashid taking them in a separate convoy.

Daggerfall took care of the Newbie 10+ with the assistance of the 3 explorers.

Another very nice track, leading Marshall slowly increased the level until 2nd tries and little minor issues started to being called on the radio. Please do not forget this is the idea of the drive, if drivers don´t struggle "a little" in a controlled environment (leading Marshall will only push to what is safe) there will be on learning.

Overall the convoy did well and I think that drivers enjoyed the morning.

See you on the sand soon.

Trip with @Daggerfall in Sweihan – Wow!

Once we registered for the trip and saw the number of experts joining—around 20 cars—we knew it was going to be special.

We split into two convoys, and I joined the Newbie 10+ convoy led by @Daggerfall with great support from the explorers @David, @CARLOSS, and @Ehab.

The track was amazing and fast, with high arches, some technical switches, and exciting climbs. A few second tries added to the fun and challenge.

Big thanks to @Daggerfall, @David, @CARLOSS, and @Ehab for organizing and leading such an amazing trip!

Hi Almosters,

First of all, our trips are designed to push your limits and help you develop new skills—so don’t feel discouraged if you make mistakes. If you’re not making any mistakes, it means you’re not learning or improving.

Driving on the walls is a game of energy management. If you feel your energy is dropping, turn down or take a lower line to gain speed before it becomes too late or dangerous to turn.

Keep the right distance: not too close (so you have time to react) and not too far (or you might lose sight of the car in front and follow a wrong or unsafe track).

If your car isn’t going in the same direction as your wheels are pointing, always follow your car’s movement and gravity to avoid a pop-out.

It was a great trip, once again crowned with Moustafa’s famous watermelon—thank you!

Thanks to everyone who supported and participated. With good teamwork and great support, the drives become much more fun and easier.

Best regards,

cool finally a drive for +10 with @Daggerfall .. we started the day early as usual...
We started the trip on time our leading marshal supported with 3 explorers @David @Carlos and @Ehab ....the learning started immediately side walls climbing high ..learning how to controll the speed and not fight gravity ...as usual I learned in the hard way 😅 as we were going down from small arch my car slided i didn't have my wheels in the right direction 🙃 the result was my first pop out...every body helped and we were on track on no time...
The trackbwas amazing 👏 🤩....I got stuck in a small ball this made me learn a new things about the car.. then we climed high gradually only the marshal and the second lead came down as i was the third car and got stuck on the top ... explorer @Ehab then pulled me from the back and led us all from down to the other side at this moment i realized that I got stuck on El Nagra 🫣 with little shock and abit of disappointment 😞 that I could not make and didn't have a second chance ...
But with Almost4x4 you will always have a second chance next time because we learn from the best 👌...
Finally we got out straight safe and happy 😊..
Thanks alot every body ..see you soon on sand 😊

Sweihan in spring. What a beautiful sight.

We were deflated and ready on time. @Daggerfall was leading the convoy for my first ever 10+ drive. I had no expectations as I have heard the level just slowly keeps increasing from 10+. We did some cresting (very beginner ones) and it was fun as hell. It's all about confidence building. I was super scared of crests and at the end of the drive I felt like its not a bad as I thought it would be.

I had 3 refusals. Once when the car ahead of me slowed down and I had to come down a climb. I joined the convoy without stopping anyone.

The next 2 was during a big 2 step climb where my Pajero was struggling. I tried first in 4Hlc and then 4L. Both attempt I fell short of the last 20m. The marshall told me to come around another route. But I somehow felt I could do it and I just needed more speed. I requested over the radio for one last attempt and yes, I made it. That was just beautiful. Something in my told that "Come on Sid, you're better than this". That might have been Shamsi's voice in my head hahaha.

But incredible drive. I can really see myself learning more and more on the sand.

Thank you all Marshals for the support and making this drive fun yet safe.

Love,
Sid

Hi everyone,

The problem of posting late in the week is that most of the good stuff has been said...what to do!

Anyway, it was a beautiful and very early morning in Sweihan with Daggerfall leading the +10 and Sorpio same with an improvised interm. Lucky guys you all were.

I supported the newbie one with no major incidents and some bits and pieces here and there, the usual menu. Only one pop out which it was good news.

I arrived around 5am as I could not sleep well the night before so I took an early power nap and enjoy the sunset on my own only disturbed by noise V8 passing nearby...before 6am!!!

This are is becoming one of the last suitable places below 1:30h driving so we might expect "heavy traffic" when good weather comes so better to find new places...good news is that there are 3 eager explorer willing to do so.

See you, thanks all for joining ans Marshals for organizing and leadi g

Hello everyone

We have agreed to start the fun earlier than the meeting time , so I have met @ahmed77moharem , @Haidy79 and on agreed point on the way we met @Hisham and @Aljamhi

We drove to the meeting point together and joined the remaining big convoy .

The good news received in briefing time was will be separate convoy for intermediate and advance will be leading by @Scorpio supported by @Rashidjass 😍😍

And the newbies will be leading by the organizer @Daggerfall and supported by our explorers @David , @Ehab and @Carlos

So I was with the intermediate trip and was beautiful track as usual from @Scorpio , we was going in deferent direction from the other convoy, but after some time @Scorpio decided to go and join them the break time in Nagra dunes ❤️

After nice break and every convoy sharing his experience we moved to the exit point

Big thanks for @Daggerfall for organising this and for @Scorpio with @Rashidjass for taking us out n amazing trip

See you soon

I was assigned to the intermediate convoy led by @Scorpio as a sweeper, with @Rashidjass as the supporting marshall. I got a bit rusty after the summer travels, plus the time my Jeep spent in Rashid's spa after a failed attempt to join the previous inter drive at 48 deg C :you_re_kidding_right: , so soon I got stuck at climbing a sharp and soft sand ridge. I did self recover but I unitentionally grabbed the attention of Rashid, which caused us both to miss the troubles of other members at the same moment, and the convoy got dispersed for some time.

I've knocked the rust after a while. I don't know what has Rashid done to my Jeep, but I found it can climb to the heights like never before, which I started to enjoy a bit too much and then I lost the end of the convoy from the sight again, while they got in second tries. Being the intermediates, they didn't really need my help but I must admit I was a bit crappy sweeper on that day, sorry @Scorpio :yaeh_am_not_durnk:

The track line was great, sometimes challenging, but nothing crazy, however the soft sand took the toll and we had many second tries and a few recoveries.

Thank you @Rashidjass for the support and @Scorpio for the lead, and to both of you for all the patience on that day. I promise to be of a better use next time!

And to @Moustafa to his legendary chilled water melon for everyone.
