Hi Almosters,

It was another beautiful day filled with action and challenges that we had to overcome.

We faced a variety of obstacles: cars that had to retire, blowouts, pop-out, stucks, numerous second attempts, high, sharp, and fresh dunes, a beautiful sunset, delicious watermelon (Thanks to @Moustafa19 ) , and a short night drive. Through great teamwork and experience, we managed to overcome all these issues, had fun, and created new memories to share in the future.

A special thanks to @Rashidjass for providing excellent leadership, ensuring no crest was left untouched. I particularly enjoyed driving along the crests from one dune to another.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported us.

Looking forward to the next adventure!

Hi all,

Saturday we had a fantastic time and the weather was not that bad for this time of the year.

Last week I was super happy to see that there was a drive for the weekend, it is been more weekends that what I wanted away from the sand but whenever there is an opportunity I will try to be there.
I was double happy to know that we were driving from Al Ain airport, one of my favourites areas at a reasonable driving time.

I arrived to the meeting point with time enough, part of the team was deflating down the dune and part high in the dune, I decided to go up and deflate up which is a little bit funnier. The briefing from @Rashidjass was short, "we will stay long on the crests", and that was it. I was positioned car number 3 after @dorudoru and knowing myself I was aware that the first 30min are always key to me and need to enter in the mental game. I did 2 second tries and ready for the rest of the drive.
The amount of time we spent in the crest was something incredible and addictive, I want more. I thing @Rashidjass did not let any crest without touching it. We had cars leaking, pop outs, and destroyed tires. Even we parked a car in the dune and come back to pick it up.
I cannot forget the visit to Old lady dune and the short night drive. So yeah we had everything.

The convoy performed well although some second tries were not announced on time what affected the flow of the convoy. For me the learning was how important is to feel the balance of the car on top of the dune.

Thanks @Rashidjass for the amazing drive, @Daggerfall for floating around with @Petr and to all of the intermediates for making another great drive.

See you soon.

The area behind the Al Ain airport is one of my favorite (and fortunately, @Rashidjass as well :)) locations. Relatively large untouched dunes (no evidence of any other convoy in the past of present) with sharp ridges provided a great playground area that Rashid utilized fully to our a few-hours-long hapiness.

Rashid started straight without much talk and warm-ups to climb the dunes on the way, and soon saddled on the ridges with long drives on them. This type of driving challenges our stability and endurance to stay on the edge without sliding on one or another side. I would say that SWB Jeep with its solid axle takes a double challenge, but being at the end of the convoy I benefited from the shaving work of the preceding drivers.

We lost one car at the very beginning due to some leakage and another car got parked between dunes soon after, we had one popout and one shredded tyre at the end, but in between plenty of joy on the dunes till the darkness, when we experienced also some night dunes bashing before gettting on the road.

Many thanks @Rashidjass for leading the convoy, to @Daggerfall for the support and to all intermediates for their good job. And to @Moustafa19 for his usual chilled watermellon that we all greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! in love

It is always a pleasure to come back to a place where you can recharge, meet your friends, and, of course, get a new dose of adrenaline. After a quite long vacation, I had the opportunity to join the @Rashidjass Drive Fast 5.0, for what I am very grateful.

Having received the PM and seeing the area where the drive would take place already spoke volumes. We had just one drive, 10+, led by @Scorpio , and it was an unforgettable, beautiful area with medium and a few big dunes, completely different from all the others. On the way to the meeting point, I already felt uneasy because, as I approached, it seemed like there was no one around. Considering the very hot summer weather and the midday drive, the road was just empty.

Upon arrival at the meeting point, we had a briefing where @Rashidjass pointed out all the differences of this area from others and its difficulties. @Daggerfall added all the technical elements for the correct execution of the track to avoid getting into dangerous situations and not endangering others. Considering the weather conditions, there was a very strong wind, and @Rashidjass explained that there would be no other tracks, and all the dunes would be sharp, with extremely soft sand. @Rashidjass also mentioned that there would be a lot of side crests, and most of the visual action would happen at the peak of the dunes, which was confirmed throughout the entire drive. Throughout the drive, I can confidently say that the entire convoy stayed at the edge. We explored every chain of dunes, and thanks to @Rashidjass , we had a chance to experience all the challenges. Of course, it was very important to calculate the speed and have the skill to control the car on the edge.

The drive was very intense, fast-paced, and absolutely unforgettable scenically. I can confidently say that all the participants accomplished the task. Everyone returned with smiles on their faces, safe and sound, which is a direct indicator of a very successful drive. I want to express my gratitude to @Rashidjass , first and foremost, for organizing this drive, to @Daggerfall for his support, to @Petr for taking care of me and others, and to all the participants whom I hadn't seen for so long, for making this event happen.

On my part, I also want to acknowledge that, yes, I must admit it's time to modify my car to match the level of my batch and to progress further in my favorite hobby and get incredible enjoyment from the upcoming drives.

Looking forward to see you all soon,

With love in love

Vika

It was an exciting day driving through the challenging dunes near Al Ain airport, led by @Rashidjass with support from @Daggerfall and @Petr . The convoy faced sharp ridges and untouched dunes, making the drive thrilling. Despite a few small issues—like needing second tries, a popped tire, and a car getting stuck—everyone did a great job managing the tough terrain.

The drive tested our balance and car control, especially on the dune crests, but thanks to our leaders, we safely navigated through without any major problems. The night drive was a fun addition, ending a truly memorable experience. Big thanks to @Rashidjass for organizing this adventure, and to everyone who joined for making it such a great day.

Can't wait for the next drive!
