I’d like to start thanking @alshamsi and @giorgio for this breathtaking opportunity.

After my CM drive, all I could think about was getting back in the sand for the adrenaline rush and the learning. I’m happy having found exactly what I was looking for during this drive .

I reached at around 7:10 and went on to prepare by deflating my tyres and putting up my flag. After the quick briefing I was placed as the third car in our convoy, followed by intermediates and newbies alternatively. The convoy was lead by @giorgio.

We started off at a medium pace and I felt a lot more confident of my car and my driving. As we progressed it got more and more thrilling and challenging.

Although I did need a second try off some crests, I got a lot better at them. This drive was a lot more challenging and it was a lot faster but I managed to keep up with the car infront of me. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little scared but I was confident my car would make it, and I felt very safe with the convoy. I also started to learn to drive along gravity rather than against it.

I also got my first modifications by breaking a part of my rear bumper and denting my front bumper but nothing too serious.

Overall it was a great experience. Extremely greatful for this opportunity!

Hello Almosters,

After missing out on last week's drive, I decided to sign up for two drives this Saturday. A morning drive with @giorgio & @alshamsi_m (Newbie 5-) as a warm up, and a faster drive with @optimus (Newbie 10+).

Arrived early to find @giorgio & @Ehab enjoying the morning breeze, it was 25c finally. Got the car ready and joined the chit-chat till the briefing time. @alshamsi_m as always never fails to amaze us, arriving in his new LIME GREEN Jimny. Briefing started by @giorgio it was detailed as there were drivers on their first newbie drive, and off we go. I had my expectations set to a relaxed drive with multiple stops/recoveries as everyone is still getting familiar with his rig, and the drive was up to my expectations.

Overall, I think everyone did a great job and took away a great learning experience.

Thanks to @giorgio , @alshamsi_m , our second lead @Laarni , and our sweeper @Carlos .

See you on the sand
Ghoneim
Cheers,

Hello Everyone

The weather started to cool off in the early morning and late morning it is acceptable. Started the drive with the usual briefing and guidelines from @giorgio then off we go.

The area was fairly free except for three convoys plus us, so you can say it was a good day. Since the marshals have many 10+ drives cooking, our organizer through a bouns drive for the unlucky newly upgraded who couldn't catch up with their batch last couple of weeks.

So for whoever joined us this week and found the drive easy, now you know !!! It was not for you Psmiley

In my side, I had a blast since I was floating around and climbing any tip I like yaeh am not durnk , Also I discovered a new technique to cool down your car by adding ICE to your windshield bottle grin

While we were driving around we came across a TREE HOUSE made by someone. I stopped to check and it was really nice hidden with privacy except it was covered with birds sh!$t ( I think they were blessing it ) :yarr:

The time passed so fast and I can't believe that we reached the endpoint to say goodbye for everyone!!

Till next time stay safe and see you in Rescue The Marshals

Cheers
Shamsi

Hi all,

Finally the weather is getting better and the morning drives can be scheduled a little later and with the morning breeze making the coffee more enjoyable.

As very well mentioned by @alshamsi_m in his report, this was a surprise drive just to ensure that we give extra support to Newcomers that missed the opportunity to attend the first drive after CM.

Aim of the drive was to accent and decent mid size dunes in a slow and safe pace and manner while maintaining proper distance and adequate communications.

With @Laarni on the second lead and @Carlos sweeping while the rest of the rescue team taking place in an form of one newbie one intermediate ( giving the opportunity to the newbies to have a more experience driver in front of them at all times) the convoy left the Badayer area with destination the Ghost Town village

Overall we had a considerable amount of delays (as it was expected) but neither the less we had a great morning on the sand.

Closing my report I would like to thank @alshamsi_m for being the sole floating Marshall (he escorted one of our members out with technical problems and re-join us without no one feeling it). Furthermore big thanks' to our rescue team and the drivers that attended

Till next time be safe and keep driving with us. Practice makes perfect and you are on the right path for more adventures.

See you all at the next drive.

Hi everyone,

I did not expect to join this drive because two drives in a row normally requires some “internal” negotiations but to my surprise everything went smoothly, and I managed to obtain the necessary NOC thumbsup and got registered.

“Long time no see” was the drive’s name but to me it was ”Long time not a full day in the desert” which was even better blank . So there I went for a full day in the desert willing to have tons of fun…and the drive did not disappoint me at all.

Master of the dunes @giorgio was the one organizing & leading and Master of Masters @alshamsi_m took good care of us from his recently painted “lime evil” cool "jumping" on the dunes like wallabies in the forest.

I was honored to take the sweeper position, thanks for that, and took advantage of it for observing the convoys performance which was quite good considering the level and the playground. Normal second tries and stucks disturbed from time to time the convoy’s good pace.

I saw a lot of potential in some drivers playingsmiley so I hope they will keep on growing in the Club.

See you soon
Carlos

Amazing lead in a very crowded full of tracks area. Only experienced marshals can take newbies to such an area. I enjoyed the trip and cannot wait for the next one, enjoy watching
