Good Afternoon people:have a nice day:,

Got an Xterra recently. It comes with this Nissan connect in dash navigation system. However, the maps are outdated. Called the stealership and they say "update not available. However, we can order it for you and it will cost AED 1300-1500". The navigation setup itself is so depressing with no speed cameras, no speedometer, outdated POIs and ofcourse the maps. I'm well aware through this site that GARMIN navigation (montana) standalone is the way to go when your offroading. Purchased the Vehicle in December 2014 so its new(3500 km driven)and under warranty. Having and incapable OEM in dash system is depressing even on road.
If only you guys would be generous to let me know, my question to you guys is,
"is there a way to get any other software onto this in Dash unit?"
" Do you know anyone in town who does it ?"
was googlin and came across NAVTV powered by GARMIN NTX54 integraton for nissan oem unit it cost USD 699 not including shipping or maps.(not an option) .
