We started toward the camp in Al fagaa dubai Al ain road with few stucks, we reached the camp and started the fire and ppl started to fix their tents later we gathered by the fire and started to have dinner (Beryani).
Next day morning we started back to the meeting point and formed 2 convoys, Newbies with Khatib, hamdan and Lamboo and intermidiate with falcon and capri.
i started with the intermidiate convoy on a nice and tough track the weather was so windy with lots of sand flying around where you can not see, falcon was giving a training on how to crest the dunes where almost everybody was stuck over the dunes and lots of pull out practice.
It was a nice trip although the weather was so bad, thanks almost for such nice time.

Lessons Learned:
  1. To be on Intermediate or Advanced level does not mean automatically to get thru
  2. Learn how to control your car
  3. Learn, what your car can manage
  4. Learn the right pressure for your tyres
  5. Learn different colours of sand
  6. Learn where to slow down and preview the next territory
  7. Don’t underestimate the next sand (it’s waiting to suck you in)
  8. Don’t chat with your passenger
  9. Be always alert

Hi Capri

Good points... somehting that I've always wanted to understand was the different sand colours. Do you have any additional information on this or direct me to a post where this is already discussed?

Thanks

Hi guys

Candi and I both had a good trip. She was having fun in my Jeep and I was releived she didn't brake it....

No seriously, the newbie trip was great. Poor visibility, soft sand, small tricky dunes. All lots of fun. Thanks guys. ESP th Al Khatib for leading and placing Candi 2nd, she enjoyed every second of it.

Regards
Paul

GLASSES FOUND

Hi guys

During the newbie briefing, I picked up a pair of reading glasses. No one claimed them after the briefing..... They all ran for shelter in their cars. Or just excited to start driving.

Anyway, if they are yours, call.

Regards
