Today we met for Intermediate trip, as planned, at beautiful sunny, but chilly morning. All drivers came almost on time, as we are almost4x4 off-road club. :058:
We ordered the cars based on experience into convoy and quickly moved to Fossil Rock. Drive up was very easy as the wind in the last days brought new sand to this area and covered old tracks.

After descent on the other side of Fossil Rock pass, we continued towards Camel Rock. The area is now completely changed, due to the recent Shamil and old dunes were relocated and new created. As we were first group in that area, the driving was very nice and cars did not suffer usual bumping.

Just before Camel Rock, yellow FJ got his tyre out of the rim and we were forced to stop our speedy driving. However within few minutes the routine procedure (board, jack, shovel, compressor), organized by marshals, made the harmed car to be again on the full power.

We continued to Dave’s Dune, through challenging area, where first steeper dunes are starting. As the yellow FJ, at one place, underestimated the steepness of one pass and was forced to reverse back, the cream FJ, watching his tries, parked nicely on the horizontal edge of the dune, that way that his tyres were rotating in the air. Faisal quickly pulled him out from this funny situation.

After Al Fayah challengers' dune, we proceed without any critical passages to Pink Rock. Area to the west of Pink Rock is very interesting always, but this time virgin sand made the driving ideal for improving skills of convoy drivers. At one steep descent and needed quick turn, green Wrangler popped out his front tyre from the rim. The same few minutes process, as earlier, brought the car back on the track.

On the way to Big Red, we noticed, stuck alone driving car, sitting on the edge, so we pulled it out and advised on the dangers driving alone, without support. Around noon time, as planned, we climbed the Big Red from Western side, which is very steep and challenging. All newbie cars, after several attempts succeeded to drive to the top.
Smiling faces at the end were a great satisfaction for the marshals, as we understood that the trip was interesting, challenging and funny.

We thank Shafiq_Jan, Hassan, Bojassim and Khan to be with us. Of course, great help from Faisal, the sweeper, contributed heavily to the success of this trip.
