As a last year participant I also recommend that you take walkie-talkie portable car charger. The device will be on the whole day, and I remember mine did not last until evening despite full charge in the morning

On 28th. July 2015, we are going to have introduction & briefing meeting in Evakana - Uptown Mirdif Mall N25° 13.462' E55° 25.509' . Also we are going to give you the SALALAH booklet. if you are interested you can join us from 8:30 - 10:00 PM. Also you can pay your trip contribution .

Here some tips from my previous wonderful trip:
Almost 1300 km the crossed distance (one way )
Almost 15 hours driving
4-5 stops ( including fuel stations)
Omani sim card is available on the road ...no need for roaming service
Car should be in very good condition
Cream anti bits mosquitoes is Must ( good quality)
Radio charger is Must
Umbrella is necessary but we didn't have to use it last year


Of course marshals have a lot and a lot to be said
