This trip announcement is dedicated to all Newbie (5 drives +), Intermediate and Advanced Drivers. After closing the thread, Marshals will finalize the list.

Day 0

Meeting Point: Liwa Desert
Meeting Time: 18:00, 23 January 2013
Activity: BBQ

If you cannot join BBQ camp, be there on Day 1, not latest as 7:00 am.


Day 1

Trip Start: 8:00 am
Length: 80km
Level: Newbie++

After coming to the nearest petrol station we will get supplies for the cars and bodies.

Newbies can peacefully return back home, reduce adrenalin level and upload their pictures to their picture galleries.

At the end of the day, we will camp in the middle of nowhere, at high location, enjoying BBQ, observing clear close view to the Milky Way and Planets, and taste Karak with quintessence fragrance of ginger and cardamom, enjoying the scent of Arabia.

At the moment we don’t know the exact camp location, so it is advisable to participate in the whole program.

Day 2

The track is difficult, with the highest dunes, what LIWA can offer. We will create 2 convoys for Intermediate level and drive from Arada towards Moreeb Hill.

Trip Finish: 2:00 pm
Length: 60km
Level: Intermediate

Requirements:

Your car must be equipped with:

• Towing Point Rear
• Towing Rope (Viking)
• Towing Rope (Standard)
• Rated Shackels (2)
• Rated Hook (1)
• Flag Pole
• Compressor
• Jack
• Hard Board
• UHF Radio (Selectable FQ)
• Shovel
• Jerrycan (20L), filled with petrol
• Fire Extinguisher (Dry Powder)
• GPS
• Wrench Tools
• Long Spark Plug Wrench + Long Wrench to remove your firing coil for individual plugs

Before trip it is advisable to read club notes on safety and driving in convoy.

Please kindly register with your nick, phone and car model. With ‘Nick’, we mean your registered name at the FORUM, not your real name. Pls add in your registration letter ‘C’ for compliance with the requirements and sign ‘+’ for number of your drives, e.g.:

We ask all registered drivers, who for some reason cannot join, to remove their registration from the list, to allow others to take the free places in the convoy.
Additionally, if you cannot come in the last minute, let know about it any Marshal/Explorer on the list, by phone or SMS, stating your Nick, before 11:59 am on Tuesday. NOT AT MIDNIGHT…

Bring with you woodfood&goodmood as it is very difficult to buy any wood in Liwa area.

Alcohol consumption is not allowed on our club’s trips, drives & camping according to our safety regulations.

Those drivers who are not sure, if they can join, should place their name on the Waiting List.

During the registration Marshals may decide who to allow on this trip and the final cars in the convoy.
