How do you convert mapping coordinates so that they look like the type of numbers found on a GPS.
I have found an internet URL that does the trick.

So here it is:

Go to this URL --> http://boulter.com/gps/

At the top put in just about any combination of coords that are out there into the top field.

For example - N 35.123456789 W 078.123456789

Click the "Convert and Map" button and wha-la several different outputs including one for GPS Units...

Enjoy! :045:

If you have a Garmin GPS you can enter the co ordinates in any of the three formats and it will give you the option to re format them in whichever of the three you want to use !

Not sure if thsi works on other GPS makes too

I came across this link which is very easy and converts GPS co-ordinates from any format to any format :) I use it to convert the Almosters co-ordinates to my cars inbuilt GPS Co-ordinates.

If you have BaseCamp installed on your comp, it is doing all conversions, without need of any 3 party software.
