Montana has a new software update V4.20.

Changes made from version 4.10 to 4.20:

  • Added ability to sort waypoints alphabetically
  • Improved search speed in Where To? menus
  • Fixed review of individual route points through the Route Planner
  • Fixed issue with the Glide Ratio data field
  • Fixed occasional map display issue when using Topo Deutschland 2012 Pro or Garmin TransAlpin 2012 Pro
Open BaseCamp, connect your device and update your unit software.

Go to folder Garmin and find the file startup.txt

Add your line at the end, e.g.:

Welcome,
this unit belongs to xxxxx.
If found pls call xxxxxxxxxx.
Thanks Capri,
I've done my Welcome Note as suggested.

Cheers!

On any GPS device, date and time is coming straight from the satellite, and you cannot adjust it, you just need to set time zone (Montana 6XX > Setup > Time >Time Zone (Automatic). Did you read the book for your device?
