Hi All,

So I have a Jeep 4 Door Rubicon and my Brother a Jeep 4 Door Sport - both 2015 Models.
We are looking to change our stock tires.

Options for Rubicon :- 285 75 17
Options for Sport:- 285 70 17

We are looking at what's best for the sand and KO2's though strong look more suited for Rocks and Mud or else we need to lower the PSI beyond normal... or else the Cooper AT3 sounds great but how's their reliability? Any Advice, Experience on these would be much appreciated.

Also, for the Rubicon - the 285, 75 - hope that wont affect sand performance in any way?

Hi Iarkin,

I am not sure why you need to go 285 75 for the Rubicon, but i would advise against it. The 285 75 tire come in Load range E for both brands, meaning it has very thick sidewalls so the tire will not deform properly when deflated. The tire will also be very heavy (~ 27kg each).

I would recommend to go for P 285 70 AT3, or 285 70 BFG (load range C)

Between the two brands, theyre both really good and its mostly a matter of personal preference on which to choose. We have marshals and advanced drivers in our club using both.

Maybe you can try a brand and your brother tries another and you swap cars every now and then. thumbsup

Hi Youssef,

Thank you for that and this is really good advise.
Ko2's is only a worry incase if we need to deflate more than usual for the sand.
AT3 was my choice but confused with many reporting them wearing out after a year.
