hi strawb

my advice for you before start modified your car :

1- know about Strengths and weaknesses point for your car ( by searching + using car in offroad mode )
2- try to find the right & safe modified parts to your car
3- ask some member's whos have same your car

also in my opinion to your car

go to ARB & get 2.5'' lift kit ( NOT MORE ) + make the switch for disable the traction system + install skid plate for your front & rear bumper

This is the subject, which is heavily criticized by all Pajero owners and study other threads related to Pajeros on out forum. E.g. here - http://www.almost4x4.com/vb/showthread. ... 3#post7143
Just for the record, I am totally convinced that the 4th Generation Pajero, should not be taken to the desert as is. Front and rear side will suffer. Also, once you get stuck it is very bad news if you don't have diff-lock. There is only one guy I know off who can successfully maneuver a 4th Gen in the desert, but he's clocked over 150,000KM on the dunes and has been in the desert for very long time.. still, he doesn't have both ends of the car, and complains about climbing.

There are other brands as well which over the course of our trips proved that they are only 4x4 Off-road decoration, as Caprihorse, would put it. They should stay on the road or maximum a beach. I am not naming any here unless I get clearance from the high ranks

In any case, any mod should be viewed from safety angle first. A lesson we learned the hard way. Forget about how cool it looks or what others have done, and spend your money wisely.

hi desert lizard ..... thank you for the inputs and all is taken into positive insights ....

i do agree that the 4th gen pajero has a lot of limitations when it comes to driving in the sand .... from Traction Control, Tiptronic system autoshifts, under powered, low belly clearance, low wheel well clearance, and a lot more if you actually want to identify the weak points .....

but its the only car i have and i love driving out in the desert so i try to make the most out of what i have ....

i still believe that i can have as much fun as the other guy im driving with as long as i understand my cars limitations

insha allah i can manage to get me a full time offroad car in the near future

It is not advisable, because the lifting is too low, it should be at least 20 inch in front and 40 inch in back. Even the price is suspiciously low. There is missing one zero at the end of the number.

Hello, how did the lift go. I am considering lifting before January. So far I only found Auto Dollar workshop offering ironman kit 40mm. I have a 2015 Pajero LWB 3.8 engine. It seams ARB and Kings might be an option. But I really need your help Guys.
