Many times we are talking about differential and mainly in the situation, when you need to do self rescue, as your wheel with lowest resistance is sitting in the air and spinning. Sometimes hand brake can simulate Auto LSD... Watch this video, how different differential systems work.

Chief Marshal,

Could you please explain what's the meaning of changing rack and pinion?
Does it mean changing the parts only or the whole differential?

I have been told that wider and larger tires will need an upgrade of differential.

Please advise Chief Marshal

I'm not expert in this, and I wouldn't touch the differential at all. Additionally bigger tyres in diameter, mean reduced engine power to drive these tyres.
