Chief Marshal, Yasir. ...... At Autoplus, there's a tow hitch for TJs which replaces the original bumper, seemed quite heavy duty and at 500 affordable too:008:.

Chief, custom tow hatches are still pricey but the mass produced parts that come now have become a bit cheap I dare say

Hi Guys

The best place for nuts and bolts, that i have found is:

Golden Screw in Ras Al Khor ( Near Auto Mart )

On Google Map:

25.179942,55.346385

YOU need to know what size and grade of nut/bolt you want and they may have it.
I have found Grade 5 and 8 imperial sizes and grade 10.9 and 12.9 Metric.

Regards
Paul

Paul, I'm afraid you're talking Japanese... For many... What does it mean GRADE? And Imperial Sizes?

What most offroaders need are bolts to secure tow points and hooks. Also side steps and jerrycan holder. I am wondering if there are RATED bolts too. :P

Hi Capri

Metric is measured in millimeters (mm).

Imperial is measured in Inches ( in or " )
Most of the Imperial bolts have their size quoted by the fraction of an inch. (e.g. 9/16")

The Grade of a bolt is its strength. Unfortunately the Imperial and Metric system don't use the same standard.
For Suspension and towing points you want STRONG bolts like Grade 8 (imperial) and Grade 12.9 (Metric)

You also want to get a bolt that is shanked (not threaded) for as long as possible and the threaded bit only once it has gone completely through what you are trying to bolt together.

Here is a link to a bolt shop that has lots of info:
