Pajero ABS Fuse to disable traction control

Hi All, I am still awaiting the day that I will get to join Almost 4by4 Drives as Saturday is the only day I get, hoping the dream comes true soon but really impressed and excited by the sheer knowledge we get on this forum and thankful to all of you for that. Certainly will be a great learning for me as Mr Bu Salem tells and hoping that a Saturday trip starts soon.

I had a query as I drive a Mitsubishi Pajero 2011 3.5L with rear diff lock and have been really enjoying it on my desert drives, with the exception of the Traction Control that cuts down power sometimes. I have driven to PinkRock ( Hill59) and Area 53 ( tks to the Almost 4 by 4 forum tips - Seriously) and noticed that during high inclines the Vehicle loses power. This happened recently when I was at Area 53 where I was going up and as I was inclining, I lost power and was in a bowl.
So I change to 4LLC ( this disables ABS) to go back and forth in order to come out but was close to having an engine overrun. So I change it back to 4HLC and I notice the ABS is still on, and now when I do it back and forth - the Pajero is a really New Power Vehicle and comes off so easily and thus I was able to carry on and go higher. From there the drive was really smooth all the way to pink rock and I noticed what a big difference it makes with the ABS Off.

So certainly, if the ABS is disabled - traction control goes away and it becomes efficient to drive. Now my car is still under warranty so I was told by the agency that I could remove the Green Fuse located close to the battery. But what I see are two fuses 60A ( yellow color ) which says ABS and 40A ( Green Color ) which says BrakeSystem, I am confused, as should it not be the 60A (which says ABS ) fuse that needs to be removed ? But the agency insists on the 40A Green Fuse - so before going for a drive again, I wanted to know if anyone has had the experience of doing this and would really appreciate the advice.

a solution to this is by trial and error

with the engine ON you can try removing the yellow fuse ..... if the ABS light comes up in the dash then that would be enough for you to confirm which fuse to remove ... if removing the YELLOW fuse does not trigger the ABS dash light then try the GREEN fuse.....

please do note that for the ABS to engage again ..... you need to re-install the fuse while the engine is ON and then turn OFF .... then start again

hope this helps

Many tks Strawb, will try that out. As my vehicle is still under warranty, so I will wait till I can fit the switch as you had described in the well written thread:045::057:, till then hoping the fuse does the trick.
